On this tour, you’ll travel around Salzburg to see locations and landscapes from The Sound of Music. One of the world’s most popular stage shows, the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical was given the Hollywood treatment shortly after its Broadway opening, with most scenes filmed in Austria.
Accompanied by a local guide, you’ll visit the Mirabell Palace gardens where the song Do-Re-Mi was filmed and make a photo stop at the Leopoldskron lake, a piece of which doubled as the Von Trapp family’s garden. At the baroque Schloss Hellbrunn, you’ll visit one of the film’s most iconic locations – the glass gazebo. You’ll also pass Maria’s Nonnberg Abbey and stop at several spots in the lake district.
Your tour will end with time to explore the town of Mondsee, home to the church where Maria and the Captain’s marriage was shot.
