In the silence of the Atacama Desert, a short drive from San Pedro de Atacama, you’ll find yourself beneath a sky where millions of stars appear and the Milky Way stretches across the horizon. The Roofless Experience is a small-group astronomical evening that combines telescope observation, an accessible astronomical talk and a relaxed atmosphere under those desert stars. Using two powerful 16‑inch telescopes, you’ll view stars, nebulae, star clusters and distinctive southern constellations while your guide explains the science and history behind what you’re seeing in clear, engaging terms.
Between telescope sessions you’ll relax under blankets and enjoy a glass of wine, hot chocolate or tea with rich snacks. To complete the night, each guest receives a professional photo taken beneath the sky of Atacama. If you prefer a more private setting for a special moment, the Private Universe option is available.
