On this tour, you will explore the artistry and tradition behind premium sparkling wine. Beginning in the grand marble hall of Henkell Freixenet’s historic headquarters in Wiesbaden, the journey will take you seven floors underground into the wine cellar. There, you will learn how Sekt, Cava, Prosecco, Champagne and Crémant are created using time-honoured fermentation methods that have been refined over generations.
In the in-house sparkling wine manufactory, you will witness a live demonstration of disgorgement – the dramatic process where yeast is frozen and removed from the bottle. Afterwards, you will taste freshly disgorged sparkling wine in its purest form. The tour will end at the winery’s store, where you will have the chance to browse and take home your favourites.
