This walking tour will allow you to see over 50 different historical points of interest in a short span of time. Led by your professional historian guide, you’ll discover both the Buda and Pest parts of the city with insightful commentary throughout. You’ll receive an introduction to the arrival of the first Magyar tribes, the Ottomans, the Hapsburg Empire, the Austro-Hungarian Empire, WW1, WW2, The Soviet Occupation and life in current-day Hungary. Notable sights you’ll see along the way will include the Jewish Quarter, St Stephen’s Basilica, Liberty Square and Fisherman's Bastion.

Tips are highly appreciated. This tour is not recommended for people who are unable to walk for 4.8 kilometres. It's recommended to bring drinking water, sun cream, an umbrella or a warm jacket, depending on the weather conditions. There is a short five-minute break to buy drinks and go to the toilet, as there are no food and drinks served on this tour, but these are available to purchase for an additional amount. Please note that the cost of using a public toilet is between HUF 100 and HUF 500. Please note that guides are unable to carry guest luggage or equipment. The tour provider does not offer a hearing induction loop. This tour is suitable for adults and children aged 12 years and above. Younger children are welcome, but may not enjoy the experience. Please note that dogs are not allowed on the tour, except for guide dogs. The owner must carry the dog's official papers with them. The metro and the bus to Kalvin are suitable for wheelchair users. Please inform the tour provider in advance in case you need wheelchair access, as the guide needs to make two slight adjustments to their route to accommodate you. Please note that if you’re more than ten minutes late, you cannot join the tour but can swap your ticket free of charge for the next tour. Please respect our guides and other guests.
