Along the shores of Galway Bay you’ll explore the wild Atlantic coastline on a guided tour that focuses on seaweed and aquaculture. You’ll set out on a coastal shore walk and foraging tour to learn about edible seaweeds and sea herbs, and you’ll have the chance to taste some of them as you go. The visit continues at a modern abalone farm, where a knowledgeable guide will explain sustainable aquaculture methods and show you the different sea creatures kept in the tanks.

As you move through the farm you’ll sample a selection of fresh seafood dishes made with produce grown on site and with local ingredients. Several dishes typically include freshly prepared abalone and seaweed-based plates served with views across Cashla Bay. You may also have the opportunity to try sea urchin roe when it is in season, and you’ll be able to shuck your own abalone. If you wish, you may bring your own bottle of wine to enjoy with the meal.
