On this two-hour tour, you’ll join a professional archaeologist for an in-depth look at Pompeii. You’ll walk through the ruins of the ancient city destroyed by Mount Vesuvius and gain insight into how Romans lived at the time. You’ll see some of the most important buildings and structures like the basilica, forum, baths, bakery, brothel, main street, Marina Gate and theatres. You’ll also visit impressive private residences like the houses of Faun and Menander and see the plaster casts of some of the volcano’s victims.

This tour can accommodate a maximum of 20 participants. Children are required to present a valid ID upon arrival. Children must be accompanied by an adult. This tour runs in all weather conditions. Please dress accordingly. Please bring a bottle of water, comfortable footwear, sunglasses and sun cream. This tour is not recommended for participants with reduced mobility or visual impairments. Mobility scooters are not allowed. Headsets are available for groups of 16 or more. Only dogs that do not exceed 10 kg in weight and a maximum height of 40 cm are permitted to enter. Admitted animals must be on a lead and held in the arms inside the buildings. It is also mandatory to collect their excrement.
