Hakone sits within the Fuji-Hakone-Izu-National Park and is known for its hot springs, the scenic crater lake Lake Ashi, and views of Mt. Fuji. This private day tour brings together history, culture and nature so you can explore the highlights of the area without fuss.
The experience includes a bullet train ride from Tokyo to Odawara and back, a visit to the ancient Hakone Shrine, and a boat trip across Lake Ashi. You will take a cable car up the volcanic Mt. Hakone and see the sulfurous fields of Owakudani, where the region’s famous black eggs are found. Along the way you will stroll the Old Cedar Avenue, built in the early 17th century and one of Japan’s oldest roads, and have time to shop for authentic souvenirs in the hot spring town of Hakone Yumoto. The tour also includes a choice between visiting the Hakone Open Air Museum or experiencing a traditional Japanese onsen.
