You have the option of either arranging for hotel pickup or heading directly to the Udawalawe National Park gate, where you'll rendezvous with your dedicated guide. Once there, you'll board a robust 4x4 vehicle, specially designed for navigating the park's rugged terrain and providing unobstructed views of its wildlife.
Udawalawe National Park, one of Sri Lanka's expansive reserves, is renowned for its substantial population of Asian elephants, often seen in herds of up to 100. Beyond elephants, the park is home to a diverse array of animals, including jungle cats, fishing cats, gray hangers, toque macaques, foxes, bandicoots, mongooses, jackals, wild boars, and water buffalo, among others.
