A boat trip along the Kilim River will take you through the mangrove forest on Langkawi Island, inside the Langkawi UNESCO Global Geopark. As you travel the north‑east part of the island, you'll see dramatic limestone outcrops and get an introduction to the limestone forests that cling to their slopes. The route passes secluded coves and quiet beaches, offering varied coastal scenery as you move through the geopark.
Along the way you'll have a chance to see wildlife from eagles to stingrays; you may watch eagles swoop for food close to the boat. The trip includes entry into the Cave of Bats, where you'll observe bats hanging from the cave ceiling. There is also a brief stop at a fish farm, with ample time to see the tame stingrays up close. Door‑to‑door round‑trip transfers from selected hotels are included, making the outing easy to reach from many accommodation options.
