On this guided sea kayak tour you’ll explore the western end of Queen Charlotte Sound in the Marlborough Sounds. As you paddle through sheltered coves, you’ll pass beautiful beaches, azure-blue waters and stretches of lush native bush. Your guides are knowledgeable, relaxed and friendly, and they’ll share local history as you move through the quieter corners of the sound.
Along the way you have a good chance of seeing a variety of wildlife. You may spot sting rays and eagle rays, many sea birds including cormorants and sometimes little blue penguins, as well as seals and huge starfish. If you’re really lucky, dolphins may appear. Groups are kept small, with one guide for every eight people kayaking, so you’ll get a personal, informative experience on the water.
