On this guided full-day tour, you’ll be able to discover Terceira Island’s landscape that was shaped by volcanoes over thousands of years. You’ll also have the opportunity to sample the distinctive wine produced on this volcanic terrain, where the grapes grow on mineral-rich soil, resulting in a unique flavor.
You’ll stop by Lagoa das Patas, a peaceful forest lake surrounded by lush vegetation, where you can go for a short walk and see the island’s natural beauty.
Then, you’ll explore Gruta do Natal and Furnas do Enxofre, an active volcanic area where fumaroles release sulfurous steam. You’ll also go to Algar do Carvão, one of the few volcanoes worldwide that’s open to visitors.
