This guided hike on Mahé will take you along the Anse Major Trail, a scenic route that winds its way along the rocky northwestern coastline of the island.
Following a naturalist guide, you'll traverse exposed rocky ridges overlooking the waters of the Indian Ocean, and will pass through patches of woodland and river valleys on your way to Anse Major Beach. Endemic species of flora and fauna including blue pigeons, bulbul and sunbirds may be spotted along the route.
Once you've reached the beach's secluded sands, you can either relax or go snorkelling for a chance to spot grouper, angelfish and giant moray eels.
