The walk is 2.3 km each way, follows a wide gravel road the entire time, and has a gentle incline, making it suitable for most people. We allow 2 hours for the walk and time at the lake, so you can enjoy the scenery at a relaxed pace. At the lake, you can enjoy a quiet moment by the water’s edge, surrounded by rock formations and with the glacier in the background — a perfect setting for photos and relaxation. Along the way, we also visit the village of Rosendal and enjoy two scenic ferry crossings, allowing you to experience the Hardangerfjord from the water.
