Departing from Llandudno and Conwy, we head past the magnificent Caernarfon castle and Roman fortress on the way to our first main stop, the village of Beddgelert with it's charming legend and stunning views. You also get time at Llanrwst and Betws Y Coed along with a few hidden gems such as Craflwyn, The dragon of Bethesda, Dolbadarn Castle, The National Slate Museum, Llyn Ogwen and the Gwynant valley. The route may need to be adapted in poor weather conditions.

This lovely mountain can be done with a leisurely start, time for your breakfast to be enjoyed before burning some calories, the fit and fast hiker it can be done in around 3 hours, otherwise allow 5 and half hours round trip. If time and fitness is on our side we can easily extend this to a longer hill day. The Cnicht is known as ‘The Welsh Matterhorn’! But only because of its shape.Cnicht in ancient English means ‘Knight’ and this peak guards the entrance to the very remote and wild Moelwynion range of hills. This is a superb day with gentle hiking for the most part and finished with a steep but easy section to the final summit. Meeting point Our meeting point for the hike up the Cnicht, meeting in the parking area in the sleepy village of Croesor. What's included All of guided mountain hikes and scrambles are led by fully qualified Mountain Leaders with excellent local area knowledge and they work and live full time in the mountains of Snowdonia. Maximum ratio’s on our guided mountain hikes are 10 clients to 1 Mountain Leader. What to bring You will need good sturdy mountain boots to give your feet the best support and ankle protection for rocky ground. Clothing to match the forecasted weather and the time of year. Lighter weight clothing for summer and heavier weight in winter – generic type hiking trousers, base layer, fleece and waterproof shell layer, waterproof over trousers. Boot gaiters can be a fantastic idea for the wetter months and winter. You should have a small rucksack to carry your food, water, warm hat, gloves and other personal items during the day. We can advise you of clothing and footwear for a guided day or course with us once you have booked. Perhaps you have enjoyed some familiar local hikes on lowland hill or mountains, and now want to explore some wilder mountain areas. You have good hiking fitness and would like a gentle day out, but don’t have the confidence to go on unmarked rough tracks in an unfamiliar mountain area. That’s where our expertise works for you. We do the work so you can enjoy your guided mountain hike. No need for you to plan routes, no need for expert navigation in poor visibility, leave that to your qualified Mountain Leader. You do need a good general level of fitness and depending on the time of year, be ready for very mixed ground conditions, everything from wet and boggy ground to heath, heather and rocky summits.

Yr Wyddfa or Snowdon, is one of the most popular mountains in all of Europe! We have been guiding on this mountain for 23yrs! Over 1400 ascents, looking after thousands of happy hikers. There are several routes to the summit of the highest mountain in Wales and England, all of which are stunning, as is Yr Wyddfa, Snowdon, itself. It’s near perfect pyramidal shape surrounded by classic geology, glacial lakes, massive cliffs and the legendary knife edge ridge of Crib Goch. To visit Snowdonia and not ascend the crown jewel of North Wales’ mountains would be a serious mistake! Meeting point We meet in the village of Llanberis at 08.30 ready to start walking shortly after. Round trip time is an average 6.5hrs with breaks. What's included All our staff are fully qualified Mountain leaders, with remote emergency care 1st aid certificates. They all have excellent local area knowledge as they work and live full time in the mountains of Snowdonia. Our working ratios on Snowdon in summer conditions are 12 walkers to 1 mountain leader. What to bring You will need to have correct footwear and clothing for walking on rough tracks in a mountain environment. We would recommend sturdy walking shoes (not trainers or street footwear) or suitable walking boots. In the summer months, lightweight walking boots/shoes are ideal – whether they are made from leather or synthetic with leather is up to you. A small day sack is handy for your food and drink for the day, up to 25Lt in size is ideal. Even in the summer mountain weather can be very fickle so it’s best to have enough clothing and waterproofs for every eventuality. We can always give you advice about things you may be thinking of buying if you are coming in to the mountains with us. Don’t worry, you don’t need to be super fit as we always go at a gentle but steady pace. However, it does help if you have a good level of general fitness to let you enjoy the walk and the mountain scenery.

Canyoning involves working your way down a narrow river or gorge, that may have steeper sections needing fixed ropes in places, we will all wear climbing harnesses and cows tails (2 lanyards with a carabiner at each end) that we clip in to the fixed ropes, to stay safe in the steeper sections near waterfalls. We will scramble, swim, slide, dive, jump and zip our way down the canyon pushing your confidence and courage to their limits! Your adventure will start and end at our riverside centre with thick 4-season wetsuits and full safety equipment allocation. After a quick instructional session, we will bus you to the head of the river where a massive 9 cumecs of pure mountain water begins it's cascade through ancient woodland. This is the country's best whitewater rafting, staffed by guides with international experience. Over 3 descents you will play, freestyle and surf down fast, clean whitewater, each run increasing in excitement and challenge. A spectacular choice for a rainy day activity, the weather cannot soak you more than we will! On a hot day, nothing feels fresher than punching through rapid after rapid. This is a truly wild day out!

Gorge scrambling is an outstanding activity involving ascending the rocky terrain of a mountain stream, with slides, scrambles and plunge pools. Gorge Scrambling is a superb fun filled adventure activity that involves walking, scrambling and some short swims in a mountain gorge. There are water slides, squeezes and jumps that you can tackle along the way, this is a great activity that is suitable for all. We use a gorge scramble called the Afon Ddu which is just outside Betws y Coed. The session takes up the best part of a day with a minimum group size of 4 needed and a maximum of 20.
