Known for its pink-hued sands and crystal-clear turquoise waters, Elafonissi is the perfect spot to relax, swim, and explore the unique beauty of the island. You'll have four full hours of free time to soak up the sun, wander the shallow lagoons, and enjoy this magical, protected area at your own pace. On our way back, we’ll make a relaxing stop at the picturesque Elos Village, where you can enjoy a delicious traditional Cretan lunch (optional) surrounded by nature and authentic local charm.

Get ready for an unforgettable journey through one of Europe’s longest and most breathtaking gorges! This is a full-day hiking adventure, ideal for nature lovers and active explorers. You’ll hike approximately 16 kilometers through dramatic landscapes, towering cliffs, ancient forests, and the famous narrow passage known as the “Iron Gates.” Along the way, you might spot the rare Cretan wild goat (Kri-Kri) and enjoy the rich, wild beauty of Crete's national park. The hike typically takes between 5 to 7 hours, depending on your pace, and ends at the peaceful seaside village of Agia Roumeli. Here, you’ll have free time to relax, enjoy a swim in the crystal-clear Libyan Sea, and have lunch at one of the charming seaside tavernas. After recharging by the sea, we board the ferry-boat to Sougia, cruising along Crete’s rugged southern coastline. At Sougia, our bus will be waiting to comfortably drive you back to Chania after a day full of adventure and natural beauty.

Elafonisi is a place of exceptional natural beauty, something between an island and a peninsula, as you have to walk through the sea to reach it. Once occupied by pirates, today it is a very popular destination for day trippers who flood there to faraway lagoon, whilst having a Mediterranean holiday. Elafonisi is a paradise on earth – a heaven of unparalleled beauty. It is covered with sand dunes, low trees, bushes, sand lilies and junipers. You can get there on foot from the beach by passing through shallow aquamarine and turquoise waters. The white and pink sand made of thousands of broken seashells, the limpid blue-green waters, the little coves and the secluded tiny beaches remind the travelers of a paradise lost. Take a swim in the warm tropical waters and relax under the hot summer sun!

Our sunset cruise moors off of Lazaretta island to watch the beautiful Cretan sun setting over the horizon. If you choose to there is enough time on this trip for a quick dip. We stop for approximately 35 minutes. * Sunset trip departure depends on the time of sunset.

Visit a local bakery where we will have the chance to get a closer look at how Cretan traditional savories (rusks, bread, etc) are made. Visit an Olive grove where we will examine the olive trees and learn how Cretan honey is made. Visit a traditional multi-awarded cheese factory. If it is not the cheese-making period, we will be able to enter, otherwise, our guide will tell you everything about the cheese-making procedure before our superior tasting experience. Get ready for a superb gastronomical experience as you will have the chance to taste a traditional platted with olive oil, tomatoes, olives, cheese, honey, and more that are going to provide you with a first-class experience of the Cretan nature.

A short trip to the island of Lazaretta for relaxation and swimming. If you don't want to swim just sit back and enjoy the view while watching our fish feeding show through the boat's glass bottom. Stop duration for swimming approx: 35 min.

We visit two islands, Thodorou Nature Reserve and Lazaretta with its small sandy beach. On your first island visit to Thodorou you will have the opportunity to see the wild Kri-Kri, a type of Cretan goat (found in no other country in the world) which are protected from threat of extinction. Also at Thodorou, through the boat's glass bottom, you'll see the wreckage of a German airplane (Junker 52) shot down during World War II. We then sail on to Lazaretta island where you are free to swim or just relax on the beach. Note at Lazaretta island we use a small tender to transfer all bags, towels etc to the beach, along with any non-swimmers in your party. Stop duration for swimming: approx.: 2 hours What to bring: Swimwear, towels, plenty of sun protecton for the beach (there is shade on the boat), snacks or a picnic. The trek will take you over rocks and stones, through a forest of thousand-year-old trees and along a river and by fresh-water springs.
