At the Wabasha Street Caves you will step into an atmospheric piece of local history. The caves were a gangster hideout in the 1930s, and the underworld operations and behaviour that took place there have left a lasting legacy. The site is home to around 60 ghosts, a number that reflects the stories tied to the caves.
As you move through the spaces, you will hear those stories and see images that help explain why the caves were named the most haunted place in Minnesota in 2021. Along the way, the focus is on the people and events that shaped the caves’ reputation, presented in a way that connects the history with the hauntings. You should note that children under the age of 12 are not permitted.
