Salem’s unique past, centred on the 1692 Witch Trials, provides the backdrop for this guided walking experience. As you move through some of the city’s most storied and haunted sites, you will hear authentic New England history alongside explorations of witchcraft, Voodoo, vampire lore and reported ghost sightings. The tone stays factual — the focus is on history and recorded accounts rather than theatrics.
Along the way a paranormal investigator and historian will guide the walk. You will visit several spooky locations and examine photographs for signs of paranormal activity. You will also learn techniques for photographing anomalous energy, including orbs, ectoplasm and apparitions, and how to review images for unusual evidence. The experience is family friendly, so paranormal and horror stories are presented in a way that works for children as well as adults.
