At Menchaca Chocolates you'll take part in Chocolate & Art Workshops that explore a cocoa bean in a hands-on, sensory way. The experience focuses on taste, touch and smell, and on cracking and watching the bean’s visual transformation. Along the way you'll learn how different textures and aromas develop and how the same ingredient can produce many flavour possibilities.
You may have the chance to make a custom, unique chocolate product and, if you choose, design a label or box to package it. You can also join Mr. Menchaca's Micro-batch Chocolate Factory Tour to learn exactly how the chocolate is made. The venue works with an ancient pod found 150 miles from the equator, which is central to the workshops and the factory process. The experience is practical and sensory, with opportunities to handle ingredients, see production up close and personalise your own chocolate keepsake.
