You will learn to taste coffee like a professional during a coffee cupping session featuring five different types of coffee beans. The host will explain the quality of each bean and share basic coffee information similar to wine tasting — for example, the origin of the coffee bean, coffee varieties, processing methods and roasting levels. As you move through the tasting, you will practise recognising different aromas and flavour notes and gain a clearer understanding of coffee in general and Vietnamese coffee beans in particular.
You will also hear about the history of coffee in Vietnam: how it arrived, how it has shaped daily life, and how coffee with condensed milk became an iconic local drink. After the talk, you will follow the host’s instructions to make a traditional Vietnamese cà phê sữa đá yourself, putting what you’ve learned about flavour, preparation and local tradition into practice.
