On this day trek, you’ll head to one of the most stunning regions in Peru – Humantay Lake. You’ll drive for two hours to reach the lake, travelling though the lush valley of the Apurimac River. In the mountain town of Mollepata, you’ll stop for a hearty breakfast.
When you reach Soraypampa, you’ll begin trekking to the lake, situated 13,700 ft above sea level at the base of the Humantay Glacier. At the lake – one of the most sacred places in Inca lore – you’ll can opt to rent a horse and continue the route on horseback. On your return to the town, you’ll end your adventure with a delicious lunch.
